Meditation is the breaking of the addiction to any other moment except the present one.  Your attention is in the Now.  We naturally meditate when we “get lost in a song”, or on that drive home when we wonder, how did I get here.  The benefit of meditation is to increase the space between the thoughts & when we notice that our awareness has drifted, to gently and with compassion naturally guided it back to the breathe or a focal object. Eventually you will become less reactive and more open to discover there is no greater joy than being in stillness with yourself. Free of judgement !
